Promoting Urban Agriculture

The world’s population is growing and the number of fertile, arable lands for growing food crops is shrinking. If urbanisation will continue to expand, taking over the lands that must be preserved for agricultural uses only, it is more likely that food shortage will be the world’s greatest problem next to war and poverty. Thus, while we have not come to that point yet, initiatives such as urban agriculture must be promoted. Some countries including Mexico, UK and Africa have take the first step to urban agriculture, so it is time that the rest of the world follow suit.
